Airport parking charges defended

The managing director of Norwich Airport, Elliott Summers, has defended the airport’s short stay car parking charges, which he insists compare favourably with both Stansted and Luton.
He told the Express: ‘Contrary to the local common misconception, Norwich Airport short stay car park is much cheaper than both Luton and Stansted. At Luton they charge £1 to simply drop-off, £3 for up to 15 minutes, £6 for up to 45 minutes and £30 a day.’ For the record, at the Norwich Airport short stay car park the first 5 minutes is free, 15 minutes costs 50p, an hour £3 and a day £15.
