Airport reports bank holiday boost

Norwich Airport has seen passenger numbers jump over the recent bank holiday weekends, the EDP reports. Passengers taking holiday flights over the last two weeks were up by almost 60 percent compared to the same period last year, as travellers took advantage of the series of bank holidays.
Andrew Bell, the airport's chief executive, told the newspaper: ‘I am pleased so many local people took advantage of the opportunity to take an 11 day break using just 3 days’ annual leave, and to jet off from their local airport.’
